The Tribe
We all perceive that we are part of some sort of tribe, it might be our family, our friends, our colleagues or a group of like-minded people we meet along the way of our self discovery.
It’s difficult to find something as strong as the feeling of belonging, when your very special individuality feels stronger by melting into a safe group of people sharing a moment, a belief or a way of living.
Do you ever stop and think about who your tribe is? Where your roots are and who inspires you and supports you to keep up following your goals, your everyday needs or even your dreams?
Sometimes we are alone in our dreams and some other times we have the luck to share them and grow them together with someone special. Giorgio and I are having this luck!
We just couldn’t help following our curiosity for life, for new adventures and our thirst for always something new. We also share the passionate interest towards the meaning of clothing as a way to express someone’s personality, the fascination for things made through the beauty of craftsmanship and the happiness that comes from doing what you love and make a living out of it.
Having a companion in this journey is kind of fun and kind of a nightmare at times if it happens to be your love partner as well! Some days things get overwhelming as we feel it’s just the two of us against the world or maybe against our giant expectations of ourselves! But our biggest strength is the one coming from our tribe, our family and friends who never stopped believing in us from the beginning.
It probably wasn’t easy to see a purpose in our never-ending traveling, and moving from one place to the other, trying to find the one that felt right. But now, here on Ibiza, it seems like we have found our little garden where we can grow our dreams. When in doubt, the presence of our own little tribe of supporting friends and family is what allowed us to keep going.
Next to this tribe we are building a new one, a bigger one, the tribe of Nousa, a tribe of dreamers gathering people like us, who think that dreaming is not being with their heads in the clouds, but making something out of nothing, with the feet on the ground and the mind full of projects and hopes and creativity.
Our customers become someone with whom we can share how we see life and the things in it and every conversation about an item of clothing they would like to acquire becomes a chat to get to know each other. It’s magical that something practical, like making clothes, would come from such a place of affection in our hearts and bring even deeper interaction and sharing.
We all feel part of some sort of tribe in our lives, it defines who we are, where we come from and who is there for us. While sharing some of the same beliefs, the difference between each other is what makes us learn more about ourselves.
Maybe it’s not the same dream we are all sharing, but the need to dream and that’s why who is closest to you wants to help you build and nourish your own.
So thank you!
